Jay Amitbhai Shah ( Jay Shah ) is a prominent Indian businessman and cricket administrator. He currently serves as the Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) as well as the President of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). Notably, he will assume the role of President of the International Cricket Council (ICC) from December 2024, cementing his position as a key figure in global cricket administration.

Life and Education

Born on September 22, 1988, Jay Shah hails from Gujarat, India. He is the son of Amit Shah, the Home Minister of India. Shah completed his schooling locally and pursued higher education from Nirma University in Ahmedabad, where he earned a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree.

His tenure was marked by his involvement in the construction of the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

In 2015, Shah joined the BCCI’s finance and marketing committees, demonstrating his interest in the strategic aspects of cricket administration. His rise to prominence came with his election as BCCI secretary in 2019, becoming the youngest of the five office-bearers.
